Last night’s season 4 premiere of HBO’s Ballers had me hitting freeze frame. The Rock makes his way through a posh restaurant, with a rolling, stainless steel case. The reveal: Two coveted bottles of CHÂTEAU LATOUR.
75% Cabernet Sauvignon
4% Cabernet Franc
1% Petit Verdot
This is a wine report, rather than a review as I have not had the pleasure to taste this one – yet. The CHÂTEAU LATOUR is known to have aromas of black-currant, cherry and prune, with hints of mint, leather, cedar, and tobacco. This is a wine they say can age for a lifetime and “should not be approached for 10-20 years” for the best tasting experience. If you find a 1949, 1959, 1961, 1982, 1990, or 2000 vintage, grab it!
Price range from $1,300-$1,800+
